EGC Faith Statement

 

Emerging Glory Center accepts the Scriptures as the revealed Will of God, the all sufficient rule of faith and practice, and for the purpose of maintaining general unity, adopts these Statements of Fundamental Truth and Doctrine.

 

Fundamental Truths and Doctrine

 

We believe:

 

• God exists eternally in the three persons of the Trinity: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

 

• The Bible is the infallible Word of God.

 

• God created the whole universe and made human beings in His own image.

 

• Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary.

 

• Jesus Christ lived a sinless life, died for us on the cross, rose bodily from the grave, and ascended into heaven. He intercedes for us.

 

• Jesus Christ is the only Mediator between God and human beings.

 

• The only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Jesus Christ.

 

• The Holy Spirit works in the life of believers with all His various gifts, to empower the body of Christ to live a holy life and serve God until Christ returns.

 

• The Lord Jesus Christ will return to establish His kingdom. He will raise the dead and judge all human beings. The wicked shall be separated from God’s presence, but the righteous shall live with Him forever.

 

• Jesus Christ is working in and through Bible believing local churches to bring others to His saving knowledge, extending His care and love to society while perfecting His bride.

 

Each and every day, everything we do is based upon our faith in God our Father, Christ Jesus His Son and our Mediator, and the Holy Spirit that dwells within us, and upon on our calling to Kingdom service.  We endeavor to reflect our faith in every element of our work, and to every person we interact with each day.
